Hey everyone! Just to let you know what's going on, I've been working on revamping Kardia as a whole. I'm preparing to make a publishable version in hopes of someday printing it in Anime Angels Magazine.
Also, I'm excited to say that Kardia has joined Cognatio! So check out those awesome Christian webcomics!

Well, this update took awhile, but my schedule is beginning to settle. Homework is sadly eating my life, and I have been making an effort to work on the manga as often as possible. I feel that I have finally found a happy medium on the scans. I've settled for a decent 240 dpi. The GIMP runs well and the quality is significantly better than what I had previously settled for. Well, I hope you enjoy the new pages! By the way, I have added a 'links' section. Hope it's helpful!

Pages 1-7 + cover of chapter 2 is up. School has started again. Yes. Wonderful. Adding screentones has caused me to run into some minor problems. What I had done before is scanned the files as a colored image, but the problem with that is that it made the auto-crop feature on GIMP very impractical to use. Now I am scanning as a black and white image, which makes screentoning much easier, but made smaller scans necessary. I used to scan at 600 dpi, which makes a nice-looking image, but it makes the GIMP run very slowly. I did a couple pages at 150 dpi and decided that was too much of a quality compromise. Now I'm scanning at 300 dpi, trying to find a happy medium. Anyways! If you guys could give any advice in this area, give me an email or PM on CAA. I would really appreciate that.

Well, I am back from my adventures at Bible College. It was an awesome experience of learning more about my God and His word. These have easily been the best two years of my life. Anyhow, I'm back for awhile now and I plan on doing weekly updates on the comic. Hope you guys enjoy as the story finally moves along from it's four-month hybernation.
